Be The Best You Can Be

Paralympic Gold medallist, David Stone MBE, launched our ‘Be the Best You Can Be’ programme. He enthralled the children with the story of why and how he first learned to ride a bike, overcoming his disability of cerebral palsy to ride in World Championships and the Olympics; winning Gold in London 2012. He wore his GB tracksuit and brought a Bronze and a Gold Olympic medal which he let everyone hold.
His message of how you can achieve so much more with effort and the right attitude, is an inspiration for us all and something which we hope will motivate and encourage the children in their approach to life and learning.

In their personal ‘Be The Best You Can Be’ books, the children are recording their thoughts about their dreams, what inspires them and what is special and unique about themselves.
